Public installations can be incredibly powerful to engage folks and provoke discussion, amazement and inspiration. This water-focused video produced for SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL, a humanitarian organization that provides aid and assistance to victims of war or natural disaster, documents one of the most innovative installations I’ve seen and the video is gorgeous. (Please add a note in the comment field below if you’ve seen a similar installation.)

Chris- although it's not a video installation I generally find Open Society Institute's annual photo exhibition "Moving Walls" an excellent selection of documentary photography from around the world. This year's selection also includes work from a youth photography exhibit on Roma.
The exhibition opens next Wed June 2nd in NYC – RSVP here: http://www.soros.org/initiatives/photography/even….
If you're not in NY or won't be passing through between June and next February, you can see the entire exhibition online: http://www.soros.org/initiatives/photography/movi….
