OK, so I just read all the airport posts and I got a little weepy. Anyone who knows me knows that is hardly unusual – in fact, a day without a tear is usually a day without a connection for me.  But who knew the blog could be that! Thanks so much and thanks particularly to Lori for the shout-out!

Anyway, you’ll be glad to know that I will keep on blogging and that I am hoping to recruit some more people on my staff, since we are currently working on slave labor in Brazil, child soldiers in Congo, people displaced inside Burma, juvenile justice in California, and a lot more!

As for Sierra Leone, you can check out more photos and information about our visit with the President here: It is the official site of the Government of Sierra Leone and it contains a full report and pictures of our Wednesday visit:

And now…the photo I know you have all been waiting for….the picture of my daughter Tess’ lunchbag (presented by her daughter, sometimes also referred to as her son, "Botsy").
