“أنا خادم لشعبى . أنامراسل. طالما يستمع الناس إلى قصتي، سأظل أعمل على إيصال رسالتي، مهما كانت العواقب.”
هذا ما قاله لي ناشط من حمص أثناء مكالمة هاتفية، ظلت تلك الكلمات تتردد بداخلي. فهي تؤكد كم هو مهم أن ينشر ويشارك الضحايا قصصهم وحكاياتهم وتجاربهم والأهم، أنها تدل وتعبر عن دورنا كشاهدين منوط بهم الاستماع لتلك القصص والحكايات والتعرف على نضالهم.
الكاميرات في كل مكان. بسبب الثورات والانتفاضات التي يشهدها الشرق الأوسط، نشهد تدفق هائل في تسجيل ونشر محتوى حقوق الإنسان، تنتشر قصص الكفاح والنضال والانتهاكات، والتي تدفع الآخرين على اتخاذ إجراء والتحرك للمشاركة في صنع التغيير.
تعمل ويتنيس مع النشطاء على تطوير طرق أكثر أمناً وكفاءة لتصوير انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان على الأرض. ولدعم النشطاء الذين لا يمكننا تدريبهم أو العمل معهم مباشرة، قمنا بإعداد هذه السلسلة المكونة من خمسة أجزاء بمساعدة من نشطاء الفيديو من كل مكان، حتى من أزقة وشوارع سوريا. وضعنا تجاربهم المباشرة جنباً إلى جنب مع منهجيتنا وخرجنا بمجموعة مختارة وفريدة من النصائح التي تساعدك أثناء التصوير. تلك الفيديوهات الخمسة متاحة أيضاً بالإنجليزية.

تم إعداد تلك النصائح لتزويد النشطاء على الأرض، بدليل ومرشد للتصوير يعمل على تعزيز احتمال استخدام الفيديوهات التي يقومون بتصويرها من قبل وسائل الإعلام، ومنظمات حقوق الإنسان وكأدلة في المستقبل. كما تساعد تلك الأجزاء الخمسة في تعزيز عامل الأمن والسلامة للمشاركين في العمل.

“I am a servant to my people. I am a messenger. As long as there are people listening to my story, I will continue to deliver it, no matter what the repercussions.”
This was something an activist from Homs told me during a phone conversation, which continues to resonate in my mind. It emphasizes how important it is for victims to share their stories and experiences and more importantly, it signifies our role as witnesses who are meant to listen to their stories and recognize their struggle.
Cameras are everywhere. As popular uprisings erupt across the Middle East, we are witnessing a surge of human rights content being recorded and disseminated. Stories of struggle and abuse are shared, compelling others to take action and join efforts to impact change.
WITNESS has been working closely with activists on developing safer and more efficient ways to film human rights violations on the ground. To support activists who we cannot train and work with directly, we’ve created this five-part video series with support and insights from a wide range of video activists, including allies in Syria. We have integrated their hands on experience along with our methodology and have come up with a unique and helpful selection of tips that will help guide you while filming. This five-part video series is available in English and now in Arabic (see above).
